How to notify NDIS when someone dies?
When someone dies, it’s important you notify NDIS as soon as possible.
NDIS will ask for the participant’s date of death. They will also ask who the executor of the estate is, if you know this. This is the person who will be managing the participant’s estate. NDIS will use this information to help finalise the participant’s NDIS record.
Anyone can notify the NDIS of someone’s passing.
You can do this by:
- Calling the NDIS National Contact Centre (NCC) on 1800 800 110
Be prepared to provide the following information:
- The deceased persons name, address, date of birth and NDIS number (if you know it).
